WHO WE ARE

LESLIE GODDARD

FOUNDER

A B.F.A. graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Leslie Goddard spent almost five years in the Broadway production of Hairspray before taking a job in the Las Vegas company of Jersey Boys. She has appeared at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Broadway: Three Generations, on tour with Showboat and The Sound of Music, and on regional stages across the United States.

Since moving to Cincinnati, Leslie has performed with nearly all the local professional theatres and in 2014, she was awarded the League of Cincinnati Theatres award for Best Actress in a Musical for her work as Roxie Hart in Chicago at The Carnegie. Leslie has also worked with The Ensemble Theatre in The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns (Missy) and Detroit ’67 (Caroline), The Human Race Theatre in Mame (Agnes Gooch), Becky’s New Car (Kenni Flood), and The Full Monty (Georgie), and at Short North Stage in Ordinary Days (Deb).

As a theatre educator, Leslie has worked with the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music Preparatory Program as an instructor of audition technique, musical scene study and musical theatre dance. Leslie is passionate about helping young musical theatre actors clarify their goals, solidify their technique and achieve their dreams!

DAVID BAUM

COACH

David received a BFA in musical theatre from the University of Michigan and most recently finished a long run on Broadway in Disney’s Mary Poppins. Originally from Cincinnati, OH, he has been seen in MTV’s The American Mall (Stavros) and in the Original Broadway revival company of A Chorus Line as Roy (u/s Mike, Al, Greg, Bobby).  Additional New York credits include Encores! productions Of Thee I Sing, No No Nanette, and Damn Yankees. Other regional credits include The Kennedy Center, MUNY, Music Theatre of Wichita, North Shore Music Theatre and others.   David is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.  David also has worked as a choreographer – winning the 2014 League of Cincinnati Theatres award for his work on the Carnegie’s production of Chicago.

In addition to his work as an actor, David is currently working on completion of his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Xavier University. With his personal experience as a professional actor and knowledge of psychology, he hopes to help others to master peak performance while achieving success in the difficult performing arts profession.

EVA GIL

MONOLOGUE COACH

Eva Gil has worked in theater in Chicago, New York and regionally for over a decade. She holds a Master in Fine Arts in Acting from Case Western/Cleveland Play House. An alumni of Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Professional Training Company, Eva is a Certified Teacher of the Michael Chekhov Technique through Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium, where she is also an Associate Artist. Eva has produced over seven full productions in New York and Chicago. Recently, she directed for Amios, Mastodon Theatre, NY Shakespeare Exchange, Partly Cloudy People and Athena Theatre. Favorite roles include: Brooke in Other Desert Cities, Edward/Victoria in Cloud 9, Varya in The Cherry Orchard, Horatio in Hamlet and Hermia in Dead Man’s Cell Phone. Eva has taught at Dobama Theatre, Miami University, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Hathaway Brown, City College of New York and NYSTI.
