You’re the ultimate triple threat: with a degree in acting, singing, and dance, you can be unstoppable in the professional theatre world. Your first two years will be closely linked to the acting major, to build a strong performance core. Then, get ready to break out as an upperclassman: music, musical theatre acting, singing, and dance will be your entire world. This intensive, performance-oriented major includes private voice lessons, voice and movement for the stage, audition training, scene study, and dance that ranges from tap to jazz, modern to ballet.
Remember: you’re required to audition for our four mainstage productions every year, which means your audition process will start during orientation week as a Freshman. Get ready to build up an impressive series of credits, from student films to leading roles, from black box studio shows to voice work. With hard work and dedication to your craft, you’ll be prepared to rule any stage or screen that dares to get in your way.
